La Turbie is a village high in the hills above Monaco, known for a monument built by Caeser Augustus celebrating his conquest of France. By the time we had had lunch, the park containing the monument had closed, so we enjoyed the views of Monaco and the sea, and the village sights.
The view of Monaco from la Turbie convinced us not to try to drive through it.
The tiny bit of white coluumns in this photo are al we could see of Caeser's monument.
Part of this building is locally famous for being the home of the Prince of Monaco for a decade or so in the 16th Century.
