(Rainy) Reading Part 3

Seven Ages of Paris by Alistair Horne (lovely, so glad I read it!)
I Saw A Man Hit His Wife by Mark Greenside (another by our host -- nicely written -- good going, mark)
The Yellow House by Martin Gayford (fascinating account of the months spent in Arles by Van Gogh and Gauguin, plus all the context you can throw a stick at)
Eiffel's Tower by Jill Jonnes (also fascinating -- a full account of the Paris fair of 1896, featuring Edison, Buffalo Bill and Annie Oakley, as well as the Tour)
Imperfect Birds by Annie Lamotte (nicely done, but perhaps a little too Marin County privileged for me)
Murder in the Palais Royale by Cara Black (love the Paris setting, but the characters and lingering wartime themes are getting a little tired)
How to Talk to a Widower by Jonathan Tropper (funny, sad and true)

Thank heavens for kindle -- and for the droid app allowing me to read on my phone as Tom, who did not bring enough books, uses the kindle!)
