Klee at the Pompidou

We were disappointed to have missed the Musee d'Orsay Rousseau exhibit, but it was closed when we had the time to go, and opened when we did not.  And we were disappointed not to get to either Fontainebleau or Vaux-le Vicomte due to the strikes.  So we tried to make good use of our Monday by taking in the Klee exhibit at the Pompidou.

We went early to avoid the lines and found a line.  But Anne got us in the shorter one with her membership card.  When we left a couple of hours later -- no line.  Go figure.  There's a lesson in there somewhere.

I usually don't photograph paintings in museums even if allowed, since photos rarely do them justice.  This time I was inspired, though.  Usually we see Klees in ones or twos -- this was a whole raft of them.  I kept taking photos so I could remember them and look at them online later.  So here goes:

There was also a handful of sculptures...

...and puppets.

And it was still foggy outside.
