Day 2 Mohacs, Pecs, and Villany Hungary

Our first stop was Mohac, where we left the ship for a bus ride to Pecs, to visit an extraordinary find of ancient Christian burials.

 Magnificent early Christian frescoes.

After visiting the archaeological site, we visited the town of Pecs.  Some of our visit is undocumented:  just as Tom said that we should find a covered place to sit down and have something to drink, it began to rain.

Pecs is also determined not to harm any bridges with lovelocks.
The main square is known for a former mosque left by the Ottomans, now a church.

We ran for the bus, which delivered us back to the ship for lunch, followed by a visit to Villany, to hear about local wine production.

We returned to the ship and set sail for our next stop.
