Don Giovanni at Les Invalides

Our neighbor at our Paris vacation apartment rental is an opera singer, and mentioned she was appearing in Don Giovanni, an outdoor production in the courtyard of Les Invalides. I had thought about getting tickets before we arrived, but it was too hard to plan.  So she got us tickets, along with her mother and cousins.  Her mother even escorted us so we could not get lost.
We can't really say if it was great opera, since we have almost never been, but we enjoyed it.  we were also glad that, unlike virtually everyone else in the audience, we had brought enough clothes.  As the temperatures dropped and the wind picked up, many people seemed almost in pain from the cold, but we were fairly comfortable.

 The courtyard.
The stage.  As usual, photos of the performance were prohibited, so use your imagination!
