Lunch at Printemps

 After our tour of Galeries Lafayette we adjourned to Printemps, another huge department store next door.  It has its own dome, but it is not open to the store itself, but tops a lovely dining room.  On the way we spied the Subway pedicab. 

 We were not tempted. 





 We started with melon and ham, with a port reduction...
 I had beef carpaccio.
 Tom had penne in an intense dill sauce with smoked and marinated salmon.


Dessert was a molten chocolate cake with white chocolate ice cream and an almond tuile.
