A little shopping...

We headed downtown to look for a book, and ended up at the Opera metro stop, just in front of the Opera Garnier.  We trudged behind the Opera to FNAC, all things entertainment, found our book, and headed out again.  We walked through Au Printemps, and then to Gallerie Lafayette, which has the best free maps of Paris, and a good cafeteria.

After a quick sandwich, we went up to the rooftop terrace for a look around. 

 There were people sitting on AstroTurf eating hot dogs, and taking in the view. 

The views were pretty cool.  The backside of the Opera;

The Eiffel Tower;

and off in the distance, Sacre Coeur, our neighborhood. 

And the outside of that fabulous glass dome.
