leading up to the throne room, which sadly was filled with scaffolding. Back in the day we would have to bow or courtsey, even if Himself was not in the room.

the Gallerie du Glace, aka the Hall of Mirrors.
the Gallerie du Glace, aka the Hall of Mirrors.
The Hall of Mirrors is the entire end gallery of the palace. One turns from the end room to enter the Public Apartments, where the king and queen lived out their lives in public, including the births of 17 royal children that were born in the queen's pubic bedchamber, in full view of the court.
The antechamber to the king's bedroom.
The queen's bedroom.
The queen's sitting room.
The royal dining room, set as it might have been for the courtiers to serve them a meal.
Some restoration going on in the final room of the public royal apartments.
