One weekend a year in France, as well as in many other European Countries, government and private buildings not usually open to the public are opened for visits. It is the opportunity of the public to appreciate their Patromoine, their heritage. And since we are here, we get to go too.
Our first stop was the residence of the Ambassador from Great Britain. Before entering, we did notice the American flag next door at half staff, for the American ambassador and staff killed a few days ago in Libya.
