Our first three days chez nous in Montmatre we stayed close to home,
going on walks around the neighborhood, reacquainting ourselves with the
local bakery, cheese lady, fruit man and grocery store. Sacre Coeur,
the magnificent church on the top of the hill, is only about three
blocks away, through wandering streets, and we spent most of the three
days figuring out all the ways to get from here to there and back
again.
