Patromoine Visit #2: Ministere de la Justice

Our second stop was the Ministere de la Justice, which my guide on the Chocolate Tour recommended.  We knew there would be a line...but it was only an hour.  (That;s compared to the line for the President's Palais, which was probably 8 hours.)  So we waited patiently for our hour, and went on in.  There were the usual chandeliers, ornate moldings, gold leaf, parquet floors and similar decoration.  But then there was a little something special.  The Minister of Justice herself was greeting visitors in her office, and answering questions.  So now we can say we've made the acquaintance of the minister of justice.  Cool!

One of the official measurements of a meter scattered around town.

And there she is, talking to the folks.
This is her real office with her real files.

And here is her real seal, the seal of France, which is fixed on all the major official laws.
